My husband loved the water - sailing, swimming, jet-skiing. He loved the sky - flying model airplanes and helicopters, kites
and his own two-seater plane. A couple days after he died, as promised, he sent a message of well-being to us with a flock, or
maybe a hundred flocks of dragonflies over our home and neighborhood. The number was stunning and rare and I knew that it was
Jay's way of telling us that all was well.
The quilt is made of hand-dyed cottons and silks, batiks and organza.
It was a finalist
in the International Quilt Festival in Houston in 2014.
