From Traditional to Art Quilting

I often hear quilters say that they would like to make art quilts, but they can't because they "don't have an artistic bone in their body".

This class will encourage participants to loose the shackles of traditions by exploring color theory and fabric selection.  We'll take simple traditional techniques and modify them into something new and unique.  We'll explore surface design techniques to enhance your fabric and quilt design.

Participants will complete a unique art quilt top in the two-day workshop.

Best as a two-day workshop.  Can be conducted as a one-day workshop with different expections for end results.
